A technique is described which permits inversion of the differential absorption and phase integrals obtained from D-region partial reflection experiments. It is shown that when the electron density profile is assumed to be an n-th order polynominal of the height, the coefficients of such a polynominal may be computed directly from a least squares fit to experimentally obtained values of differential absorption and differential phase.
