We have previously demonstrated that bidirectional galactic cosmic ray flows observed by the world-wide neutron monitor network during a particular year (1982) were well-correlated with bidirectional flows of ˜ 1 MeV ions observed by near-Earth spacecraft, and with the passage of interplanetary coronal mass ejections. We discuss recent episodes of bidirectional flows of cosmic rays and ˜ 1 MeV ions, and examine the associated solar wind structures.
