Using the MACRO detector, we have searched for massive rare particles in the penetrating cosmic radiation. We present updated results on the search for magnetic monopoles and nuclearites obtained using MACRO scintillators, streamer tubes and nuclear track detectors. The most stringent limits are established in the range of velocities v > few 10-5 c.
