Sulfur contents of homogenized, olivine-hosted melt inclusions from A12
picritic basalts show that the magma was undersaturated in sulfide. Low
chalcophile element abundances in mare basalts must be a primary feature
of the lunar mantle and not due to residual sulfide during melting.
