C60 fullerene in shungite and in bitumen from the Bohemian Massif could
have formed in situ in two steps: 1. Cyclotrimerization of the PAH
C20H12. 2. Dehydrogenation of C60H30 to C60. The necessary heat was
provided during metamorphism.
