At intermediate-redshifts post-starburst galaxies (or PSGs) constituted a substantial cluster population. Optical observations suggest that PSGs are observed very shortly, within less than 1 Gyr, after the end of a vigorous, abruptly truncated starburst. The trigger and abrupt end of the starburst is still not fully understood, but photometry and numerical simulations suggest the trigger is most likely associated to a galaxy-galaxy merger or interaction. Our deep Parkes and Arecibo observations have uncovered large quantities of neutral hydrogen gas in a significant fraction of PSGs. We now apply for high-resolution interferometric radio observations of the neutral gas of our detections to verify our single dish observations and to derive HI morphologies and velocity fields to investigate a possible merger history.
