Universe: Dark Matter

Scientific paper

Analyses the scaling properties of the matter distribution generated by the truncated Zel'dovich approximation (TZA) for a universe dominated by a mixture of cold+hot non-baryonic dark matter. At the present epoch, the dark-matter distribution generated by TZA displays an intermediate scaling behaviour between about 4 and 60 h-1Mpc with a correlation dimension Dq ≍ 2 for q ≥ 2. The possible implications of these results are considered.
