Cosmic Rays: Solar Wind, Cosmic Rays: Interplanetary Magnetic Field
Scientific paper
The influence of the regular high-speed solar wind streams associated with the coronal holes on cosmic ray intensity, geomagnetic (Ap and Kp) and interplanetary parameters, has been studied for the period 1965 - 74. The streams considered in the span of the analysis, have been grouped into three classes according to their time duration. The results indicate that the combined effect of solar wind velocity and interplanetary magnetic field is necessary to reproduce the complete cosmic ray and geomagnetic perturbations.
