Polarization, Models: Atmosphere
Scientific paper
This table presents phase curves of intensity I and polarized intensity Q for the reflected light from homogeneous, Rayleigh scattering planetary atmospheres, calculated with a Monte Carlo scattering code. The atmosphere is described by three parameters: single scattering albedo, optical depth of scattering layer, albedo of a Lambert surface underneath. Results are disk-integrated and provided for phase angles 7.5-172.5{deg}. Additionally the geometric albedo I(0), the disk integrated radial polarized intensity Qr(0) and the spherical albedo are given. Intensities are normalized to the reflection from a white Lambertian disk. For calculations the number of photons was chosen such that Delta(Q/I)<0.1% and Delta(I)/I<0.07%, for phase angles <130{deg}.
