On the basis of an analysis of experimental data it is shown that the velocity of a plasma flow emanating from a hole of a given size decreases with an increase of the parameter eta greater than about 250 gauss/degree which is determined by the effective action exerted on the hole region by magnetic fields of near-lying sunspots. This appears to be caused by the emergence and enhancement, with increasing eta, of (perpendicular to the plasma flow direction) magnetic fields whose field lines take their origin in the coronal hole and close on near-lying sunspot groups.
