The effect of changing some input parameters in the CCD data processing package ROMAFOT is examined. The conclusion is that the CPU time can vary by a factor 6 simply by appropriately grouping the objects, while the photometric accuracy is not altered. In the presence of rapid spatial variations of the sky, like that found in the center of globular clusters, a tilted background can improve the photometry.
