The authors report the result of a new calculation of the atmospheric
muon and neutrino fluxes and the energy spectrum of muon-neutrinos
produced in individual extensive air showers initiated by proton and
γ-ray primaries. They also examine the possibility of detecting
atmospheric νμ's due to γ-rays from sources.
