A selective injection mechanism of cosmic ray seed nuclei due to nuclear
decay effects is proposed. It is shown that 22Na ejected by
novae explosion can explain the excess 22Ne in the galactic
cosmic ray source by invoking energization and ionization during its
beta-decay process in interstellar space.
