Antimatter particles in Galactic cosmic rays, antiprotons and positrons, provide important constraints on energetic particle transport in the interstellar medium. In combination with X-ray and gamma-ray observations of possible sites of cosmic-ray acceleration such as supernova remnants and superbubbles, the measurements are now at the point where they can be used to test specific theories of the origin of Galactic cosmic rays. Furthermore, both the antiparticle measurements and this understanding are essential in searching for evidence of Galactic dark matter and the decay of primordial black holes. This talk will describe the theoretical considerations, recent observations by balloon and space borne observatories, and the prospects for planned experiments.
