Multiplication of particles in hadron-nucleus collisions, expressed by the ratio R(A) of the produced particle multiplicity in hadron-nucleus collisions to that in hadron-nucleon collisions, is analyzed. Energy-and Adependences of R(A) for 24 target nuclei, from C to U, are calculated using formulas derived in Strugalski's (1981) free-parameterless model. It is shown that experimental data can be described quantitatively in terms of the hadron-nucleon data and of the sizes of the target nuclei and nucleon density distributions in target neuclei.
