Analytic formulas for the thermal conductivity of the dense matter are presented. The results are thought to be particularly useful for the calculations of the cooling of neutron stars. It is noted that in most cases the formulas presented are in agreement with the original results of Flowers and Itoh (1976, 1979) within a factor of 2. Contributions from impurity scattering are omitted since consideration of impurity scattering introduces additional parameters, namely impurity concentration and charge fluctuation.
