Brown's conjecture (1911) that the family of long-periodic orbits in the Trojan case of the restricted problem of three bodies terminates in an asymptotic orbit that passes through the Lagrangian point, L(3) for t = + or - infinity is refuted analytically. The numerical refutation by Henrard (1938), regarding the Jacobi constant for the homoclinic orbits, is thereby confirmed. Brown's second and third conjectures are also considered.
