The supersymmetric extension to the Standard Model offers a promising cold
dark matter candidate, the lightest neutralino. I will review the
phenomenological and cosmological constraints on the supersymmetric parameter
space and discuss the prospects for the detection of this candidate in both
accelerator and direct detection searches.
