The aim of this paper is to discuss what sort of baryon-number violating
process arise on the supersymmetric versions of the model based on the gauge
group $SU(3)_C}\otimes SU(3)_{L}\otimes U(1)_{N}$. We discuss the mechanism of
baryon number violation which induces proton decay, and derive bounds on the
relevant couplings.
