Scientific paper

K meson-deuteron scattering lengths, atomic level shifts and widths are
calculated. These quantities depend on controversial kaon-nucleon scattering
amplitudes extrapolated by few MeV below the $KN$ threshold. Experimental
consequences of several $KN$ interaction models are studied.
