The quark-meson coupling (QMC) model is applied to a study of the mass of the
$\rho$-meson in helium and carbon nuclei. The average mass of a $\rho$-meson
formed in $^{3,4}$He and $^{12}$C is expected to be around 730, 690 and 720
MeV, respectively.
