Expressions are obtained for the Wigner function moments of a paraxial light
beam represented by arbitrary coherent superposition of Hermite-Gaussian beams
with plane wave fronts. Possibilities are discussed for application of the
obtained results to modeling real laser beams and to design of optical systems
implementing prescribed transformations of a beam transverse structure.
