During summer 2004, a testbeam for the ATLAS experiment was performed at
CERN. A full slice of the ATLAS detector was tested with the final version of
the acquisition electronics. In the talk presented at Calor06 conference, the
ATLAS calorimeters response to high and low energy pions was presented.
