Noise characteristics and MIP registration efficiency of the Scintillation
Tile with MRS APD Light Readout (START) were measured with cosmic particles.
Encouraging results open a broad range of possibilities for using START in
large-scale applications, requiring low-noise, efficient and stable trigger for
cosmic muons.
