In a recent analysis of the world data on polarized DIS, Blumlein and
Bottcher conclude that there is no evidence for higher twist contributions, in
contrast to the claim of the LSS group, who find evidence for significant
higher twist effects. We explain the origin of the apparent contradiction
between these results.
