In this talk I contrast three different particle dark matter candidates, all
motivated by new physics beyond the Standard Model: supersymmetric dark matter,
Kaluza-Klein dark matter, and scalar dark matter. I then discuss the prospects
for their discovery and identification in both direct detection as well as
collider experiments.
