Geochemical investigations of organic mineral materials require a rapid, sensitive and reproducible method for the quantitative determination of the trace-element content. Especially characteristic are the syngenetic metals, which may be extracted by a benzol-alcohol mixture from bituminous rocks. The analytical results of twenty different rock samples demonstrate, that fluorescent X-ray spectrometry is a suitable tool for analysis of this type.
