We report upon three-dimensional simulations of the interactions of galactic jets with interstellar clouds, using COSMOS, a multidimensional, multiphysics, astrophysical radiation hydrodynamics code developed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The initial parameters of our models are motivated by observations of Minkowski's Object. The parameters are varied so as to examine the conditions under which jets may trigger cooling, fragmentation, and star formation within clouds. This work was performed under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Energy by the University of California Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory under contract No. W-7405-Eng-48. This work is partially supported by NASA through an astrophysical theory grant NAG5-12151.
