A modified Monte Carlo method is used to calculate electron-photon cascades with allowance for the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal (LPM) effect. Calculation results are presented for the 10 to the 18th to 10 to the 21st eV energy range. The present study demonstrates the possibility of studying ultrahigh-energy primary cosmic rays that arise due to a significant elongation of the cascades as a result of the LPM effect.
