The concentrations of B in seven carbonaceous chondritic meteorites have been determined by the use of two different analytical techniques. The data correspond to a B/H ratio of about 1 billionth as compared with the value of 1 hundred millionth previously proposed by Cameron, Colgate, and Grossman (1973). However, the meteoritic abundance remains at least a factor of 2-10 higher than various estimates of the solar photosphere abundance. It is concluded that both meteoritic and photospheric B and Be abundances must be considered in comparisons with nucleosynthesis calculations. Using the revised B abundances and assuming that Li-7 was synthesized in the big bang, it is found that the residual Li-6/B-10, Be-9/B-10, and B-11/B-10 abundance ratios are well matched by the production rates for bombardment of a CNO mixture of solar proportions by protons and alpha-particles with a kinetic-energy-per-nucleon spectrum of the power-law form with an index of -1.8.
