Some nonstationary effects induced by gravity waves in the lower
ionosphere are analyzed. Time-dependent relations for the peak values of
the electron concentration are derived which describe the dynamics of
formation of an inhomogeneous layer from an initial homogeneous
distribution under the action of gravity waves.
