The Monte Carlo method is used to model electron transport in N2 for electrons with initial energies of 0.1-10 keV. The structure of angular distributions of the electron fluxes at different distances from the source is investigated, and differential backscattering coefficients are calculated. The results are of interest in determining the characteristics of the pitch-angle distribution of auroral electrons in the ionosphere.
