The anomalous X-ray pulsar (AXP) 4U 0142+61 has recently been detected in our 4.5/8.0 μm Spitzer imaging observations, revealing a rising spectrum from the near-infrared to mid-infrared for this isolated, young neutron star. We report on our follow-up Spitzer spectroscopic and imaging observations of the source, carried out with the Infrared Spectrograph in a wavelength range of 7.5-14 μm and Multiband Imaging Photometer at 24 μm, respectively. We obtained a mid-infrared spectrum of the source from the spectroscopic observation, but with large flux uncertainties due to a marginal detection. We did not detect the source in the imaging observation, setting a 3σ flux upper limit of 38 μJy at 24 μm. We discuss the possibility that the spectrum may contain a 9.7-μm emission feature, a signature of dust emission from silicate grains. Ultra-deep spectroscopic observations are needed in order to verify the presence of this feature, which would firmly confirm our suggestion that a dust disk exists around the AXP
