Development of the Extreme Ultraviolet Spectrophotometers (EUVS) for the
NASA Atmosphere Explorer (AE) mission began October 1971. The
Protoflight EUVS was successfully launched December 1973. Flight Units
were successfully launched October and November 1974. Technical
description and Program history is presented herein.
