If the information that falls into a black hole comes back out in the
Hawking radiation, how fast might it be expected to do so? An estimate
based on the average entropy of a subsystem shows that it may come out
so slowly in the initial stages of black hole evaporation that it would
never be predicted by a perturbative analysis.
