The stability of a horizontally homogeneous system of two immiscible fluids is analyzed in the case of the simultaneous presence of the thermocapillary mechanism and anticonvection. The dynamics of perturbations in each fluid is described by linear equations in the Boussinesq approximation. Calculations are presented for a water-mercury system.
