The propagation of fast magnetohydrodynamic waves in interplanetary
plasma is investigated with allowance for unstable Alfven modes in the
two-dimensional case. It is shown that, in this case, the evolution
equation has the form of the perturbed Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation.
The stability of two-dimensional solitons is analyzed.
