The orbital evolution of 17 short-period earth-encountering comets is investigated. On the basis of close encounters of comets with the earth in the nodes of the cometary orbit, time intervals of the action of the known meteor showers are calculated, and the appearance of new meteor showers associated with the comets under consideration is predicted as well. It is shown that the comets Grigg-Skjellerup, Schwassmann-Wachmann 3, Finlay, and Wirtanen were or are able to produce meteor showers. Theoretical coordinates of radiants and geocentric velocities of these showers are calculated.
