During a recent IR (JHKLM) observing run three new hot stars with dust
shells were detected in the Magellanic Clouds; namely R 4 in the SMC and
HD 38489 and Hen S 12 in the LMC. The possible relation of these stars
to the S Dor-type variables is discussed.
