A statistical analysis of the properties of high-velocity streams of the solar wind for the period 1973-1974 has made it possible to establish relationships between certain parameters of the streams. One of the most interesting findings is the close relationship between the transverse dimensions of the high-velocity streams and the maximum plasma velocity in the stream. This result is consistent with the conclusion of Bame et al. (1978) about the relationship between the velocity of the high-velocity streams and the dimensions of the coronal holes, provided that a close relationship between the widths of the streams and the size of the coronal holes is assumed.
