Periodic orbits of the second kind in Giacaglia's (1967) variables is studied using analytic continuation. Secular perturbing potential due to oblateness is used to establish the existence of these orbits in the planar restricted three-body problem when the more massive primary is an oblate spheroid with the equatorial plane coincident with the plane of motion.
