The present meetings considered topics in the fields of adaptive optical techniques, optical materials, measurements and evaluations, optical device design and assessment, and synthetic aperture optical systems. Attention is given to polarization-related coherence losses in phased optical arrays, the phase function of spatial coherence from multiple intensity correlations, the grinding and figuring of advanced optical elements, novel optical systems for the measurement of diffuse reflectance, and the optical design of an integrating sphere-Fourier transform spectrophotometer emissometer. Also discussed are the performance of a reimaging wide field-of-view telescope, optical synthesis telescopes, optical arrays for future space telescopes, and a parametric study of various synthetic aperture telescope configurations for coherent imaging.
