IRAS 'Sky Flux' survey images have been used to study infrared emission in the region of the bipolar outflow associated with L 1551. Sixty micron Sky Flux data show an emission feature of 50 arcmin extent which is well correlated with high velocity CO emission from the bipolar flow. From images at 60 and 100 microns are derived a dust color temperature of 24 K and a total mass of three solar masses. The color temperature suggests that the dust emission arises in the interface region, inferred to exist from molecular observations, between the bipolar flow and the ambient material. Using the known interface geometry, a gas density of 2000/cu cm for the interface region is derived from the IRAS data.
