The authors report the detection of optical variability of the star LSI+61°303 obtained from UBVRI photometric observations. The optical light varies by about 0.1 magnitude over a 10-day time interval. An analysis of the spectral type and luminosity class of the star is presented and discussed. Some results of radio observations are also presented.
