Scientific paper

Spectrophotometric observations over the 3700-7300 A range of 15 giant H II regions located in a sample of 10 irregular and late-type galaxies are reported. The data acquisition and the resulting spectra are described. The observed emission line intensities are used to derive the electron density, the electron temperature, and the abundances of He, N, O, and Ne.
