The new WSRT survey of M33 in the radio continuum (Viallefond et al., 1985) is used to study the physical properties of the sources which have been identified in the optical Hα Balmer line. The luminosity and diameter functions for these sources are also determined. A comparison with an Hα survey is used to determine from a simple model the abundance of dust; this is correlated with the excitation as measured by the [O III]/Hβ line ratio. The authors briefly discuss the properties of H I - H II associations in M33. These results are compared with those obtained for very bright nebulae as those observed in M101 and very faint galactic H II regions.
