Coalescing neutron stars may provide the most promising source of detectable gravitational radiation. In the present work, we propose that such events would also yield naked neutrino bursts accompanied by ``featureless'' gamma ray bursts. In addition, we note that such events provide a potential site for r-process nucleosynthesis.
Work done in collaboration with David Eichler, Tsvi Piran and David N. Schramm.
