An analytical solution is obtained to the problem concerning the force
of the expulsion of a perfectly conducting axisymmetric toroid of finite
aspect ratio from a nonuniform magnetic field. The solution can be used
in calculating the expulsion of flare-related toroidal transients from
the nonuniform magnetic field of the solar corona.
