In high-energy nuclear collisions the mass distribution of fragment
nuclei displays a power law. Similar power laws are observed for
collision debris of stones and for the distribution of asteroids in the
planetary system. It is investigated to which degree the similarity of
the phenomena implies similarity of the physics.
