The cyclonic convection cells in a rotating, density-stratified medium
will transport angular momentum efficiently, thereby making the rotation
differential. An approximate theory for the angular momentum flows
yields a relation between the rotational velocity and the coordinates
which is in qualitative accord with the behavior observed on the sun.
